Coach Gemma Keldrauk is a Southern California native, and absolutely loves volleyball. She played volleyball for El Segundo High School as a middle blocker. In college she studied music at Loyola Marymount University and rowed on their Division 1 crew team. Growing up by the beach allowed Gemma to play beach volleyball any chance she got. She enjoyed competing in many beach tournaments through CBVA and still plays in the annual South Bay Smackfest and Charlie Saikley 6-Man tournaments. Coach Gemma is currently coaching club volleyball for Avalanche Athletics and is working towards her Master’s Degree at ASU. Gemma can also be seen singing the National Anthem at Spring Training games! She lives in Scottsdale with her fabulous husband and incredible three children, and is ecstatic to be joining the Huskies family. As a coach, Gemma is very passionate about helping develop the young player into a stellar, well rounded athlete. Her main goal for this upcoming season is to prepare the players for their future seasons on the Varsity team. She values top-tier sportsmanship, grit, character, and an environment for all players to work hard with the utmost support from her teammates. Attitude and effort is everything! GO HUSKIES!
